Without wanting

Henri Matisse, Jazz  1947

A fresh morning!
A lovely new haircut mum gave.

Full of smiles.
Light steps.
I open the door and go out.

It seems
the clatter of horses' hooves
will greet my ears from somewhere.
A carriage is cheerfully coming
with dancing flower petals.
The invitation to springtime.

Thank you, Monsieur Matisse.

'One evening'
that springs to mind.

A little path
I came across.

Delicate moonlight.
Sweet fragrance.
I followed them.

Cherry blossoms covering the sky.
Pink azaleas like sky clouds filling the place.
The kingdom of flowers.
A fairy tale.

Richness.
Generosity.

No wanting.
No longing.
No striving.

There is.
The place believed in the days of yore.
